## Pilot Participation Agreement

This agreement is between GVOC LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom under company
number 15935169 ("GVOC LTD", "we"), and you, a participant in the Artcestry pilot
("you"). It applies to artists and galleries alike.
By accepting it as described in section 12, you enter into this agreement with GVOC LTD.

### 1. What Artcestry is

Artcestry is a recording service. It keeps an append-only record of statements that account
holders make about artworks: an artist's attestation at registration, acknowledgements by
counterparties, consignment terms, custody handovers, and recorded transfers. It timestamps each
entry, keeps the history tamper-evident, and generates certificates of authenticity that are
issued and attested by the artist. Every certificate and public record page carries this notice,
which is part of this agreement:

### 2. What Artcestry is not

We do not examine artworks, confirm anyone's identity, value works, or give opinions on any

marketplace and handles no payments between participants; any sale, price, and delivery is
agreed and settled entirely between the parties, off the platform. Nothing on Artcestry is
legal, tax, or insurance advice, and no entry decides who owns an artwork as a matter of law.

### 3. The pilot is free and unfinished

Pilot participation costs nothing. The service is experimental: features may change, pause, or
be withdrawn, and we may end the pilot at any time. Where practicable we will give you 14 days'
notice of material changes or of the pilot ending. We ask for (but do not require) your feedback.

### 4. Your account and your conduct

You will: (a) make only truthful attestations, and act only within authority you actually hold in
any capacity: register only artworks you created yourself if you act as an artist, act only
within authority actually given to you if you act as a gallery, and accept or acknowledge only
actions genuinely intended for you if you act as a buyer or in any other capacity; (b) never
impersonate any person or register another person's work; (c) enter counterparty contact details
only with that person's agreement to be contacted about the action, and confirm this when asked;
(d) keep your sign-in channel (email, WhatsApp) under your control and tell us promptly if you
lose it; (e) upload only images and details you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful;
(f) never forward or share your sign-in link with anyone: a magic link is valid for 15 minutes
before use, but once consumed it opens a 30-day rolling session with full account authority, not
a short-lived exposure, and this weakness applies equally to claiming buyers and galleries who
sign in through the same link. Possession codes protect the acceptance flows only; they never
protect sign-in. You accept that display names are self-attested and that other participants'
names are not checked by us.

### 5. Your content and the record

You keep all rights in your images and details. You grant GVOC LTD a non-exclusive licence to store,
reproduce, and display them for operating the service: the record, certificates, record-check
pages, and exports. This licence continues after you leave, only as far as needed to keep the
existing record intact and checkable. The record is append-only: accepted entries are never
edited or deleted; corrections are added as new entries that reference the old ones. Artists
consent to their display name appearing publicly with their works; buyers and galleries are not

### 6. Privacy and data

Our privacy policy (provided with this agreement) explains what personal data we hold, where it
lives, and your rights, including erasure. In short: personal and contact data live outside the
record and can be erased or anonymised on request; the append-only record itself carries no
personal data beyond the artwork details attested by the artist, and after erasure it points to
an anonymised participant. The United Kingdom GDPR applies to our handling of your personal data.

### 7. No warranty

The service is provided as it stands and as available, without warranties of any kind. We make no
promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose,
and no promise about the truth of any participant's entries. You use pilot records in your own
business at your own judgement.

### 8. Liability

GVOC LTD's total liability to you for all claims arising out of the pilot, however arising, is
capped at £275 (or the equivalent in your currency at the date of the claim). GVOC LTD is
not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost sales, or loss of reputation, or for the
acts, entries, or omissions of other participants. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits
liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent
misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable
law. If you participate as a consumer, the laws of your country of residence may give you
mandatory protections, and nothing in this agreement reduces them. You will compensate
GVOC LTD for third-party claims caused by your breach of section 4.

### 9. Takedown and suspension

We may hide public pages pending review, suspend an account, or remove a certificate from
download where we receive an impersonation or abuse report, where entries appear untruthful or
unlawful, or where this agreement is breached. These operator actions are themselves recorded in
the affected work's history with a reason. We do not adjudicate disputes between participants;
a disputed record is marked as disputed and resolution stays between the parties.

### 10. Leaving the pilot, and your export

Either of us may end your participation at any time by notice through your registered channel.
On ending: your sign-in is closed; the append-only record and any acknowledgements you gave
remain (section 5); and for 30 days you may export your full event log (signed JSON) and all
your certificates. Erasure of personal data is available per section 6 whether or not you leave.
Sections 2, 5, 6, 8, 11 survive.

### 11. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales. If a dispute arises, either party
gives the other written notice and both negotiate in good faith for 30 days. If it remains
unresolved, the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction: either party may
bring proceedings there, and nothing in this section prevents you from bringing proceedings, or
relying on mandatory consumer protections, in the courts of the country where you live. Both
parties may instead agree in writing to mediation or to a sole arbitrator seated in London.

### 12. How you accept, and changes

We show you this agreement in full. You tick the box marked "I have read and agree to the Pilot Participation Agreement (pa-0.4)" and select Accept. We record the accepting account, date,
time, and agreement version in our records and send a copy of the agreement to your registered
channel. If we change this agreement materially, we will notify you and ask you to accept the
new version the same way before you continue using the service; if you decline, section 10
applies. If you do not accept this agreement, you cannot join the pilot.
